Passing of UA Member Ken Schulties

April 30, 2015
Kenneth John Schulties, aged 78 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away
suddenly on Thursday, April 30th, 2015. Ken will be lovingly remembered
by his wife of 43 years, Sharon. He was predeceased by his parents, David
and Mary; brothers: Walter, Gordon and Elmer; sisters: Julia Baldwin,
Ruth Sawchuk, Doris Anderson, Francis Lohr and Betty Learned. Ken is
survived by his sons, Ken (Helen) and Kevin (Karman); grandson, Aaron;
brothers: Doug and Charles (Carole); sisters: Martha Gorrigsen, Dorothy
(Wayne Hall), Jenita Schulties (Ernie Stadnyk), Shirley (Ed Parker) and
Donna Widenmaier. Ken was a Plumber/Pipefitter by trade and loved
every minute of his work. Unfortunately his work was ended abruptly
when he suffered an accident at work, leaving him permanently disabled.
Ken loved family and friends, who were all important to him. He found
great joy playing games, camping, playing cards and barbequing. Ken
had a very loving and generous heart and he would help anyone at any
time. He will be missed by all. A Celebration of Life Memorial Tea will
be held on Sunday, May 10th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at
Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Jamie O’Brien as the speaker. Flowers
are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ken’s
name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask, 279 3rd
Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or the Saskatchewan Lung Association,
Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK S7K 7Y4. A full obituary will appear on the
Moose Jaw Funeral Home website. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose
