Soren Peter Forpagtor Larsen Soren Larsen passed away on March 14, 2012 after a brief illness in hospital. Soren was born in Tolstrup, Denmark, on April 13, 1930. The youngest of seven children, Soren eventually immigrated to Canada in 1951. He met and married his wife of 50 years, Clara Gordon. Soren spent his years here as a pressure welder, a career which took him to many beautiful places across Canada, thanks to Union local 179, but Saskatoon was always home. Soren was a past member of the Saskatoon Scandinavian Club, where he enjoyed many dinners and dances with friends. Soren was predeceased by his parents, Christian Larsen and Karen Pedersen; in-laws, Franklin and Ivy Gordon; four sisters, Henny, Anna, Johanne and Signe; two brothers, Henrik and Lauritz; one nephew and three nieces, five brothers-inlaw, and two sisters-in-law. Soren is survived by his wife, Clara; daughter, Kamma; son, Karsten (Rita); grandsons, Cory (Tamara Holgate), Jared (Chloe Pulleng); stepgrandchildren, James (Melanie), Tina, Amber, Samantha (Scott), Debbie, and April (Justin), and twelve step-greatgrandchildren, three brothers-in law, one sister-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Thank you to the doctors and nurses of 5B Surgery at St. Paul's and 6300 City Hospital for their compassionate care of Soren during his illness. Following cremation, at Soren's request, there will be a private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Soren's wish was for donations to a charity of one's choice.
