Passing of Wayne Stuart UA Local 179

WAYNE STUART April 27, 1940 June 9, 2011 Wayne Stuart, age 71, of Regina, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully at Wascana Grace Hospice on Thursday surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his loving parents, Victor Stuart Sr. and Dot and Ken Hunter; his loving wife, of 51 years, Bernice Stuart (May 5, 2011). Wayne is survived and will be remembered with love by his 5 children, Cam (Laurie) of Weeks, SK, Trent (Dorothy) of Calgary, AB, Rhonda (Selwyn) Samuels Viera, FL, Taz (Carol) of Winnipeg, MB and Vic (Jennifer) of Regina, SK. Grandpa Wayne will also be lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren, Sherise, Devin, Faythe, Keli, Taylor, Joshua, Sebastian, Liam, Kirin, Zabian, Logan, Carter, Caeden, Marek, Marley and Kitanna. He is also survived by his 2 sisters, Gloria DeCorby-Pappas and Sharon (Pat) Marchuk and brothers and sisters-in-law, Lois (Lloyd) Martin, Pat Lennox, Maxine (Bob) Sloboda and Jeff (Ann) Self as well as many nieces and nephews. Wayne was a pressure welder by trade and travelled the world, working in Peru, Ecuador, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to provide for his family. Wayne enjoyed tinkering with motorcycles and designing, building and racing cars with his long time friends, Larry and Fisher from 1958 2006. Daddy Dubwill long be remembered at the moto-cross races for helping countless people on and off the track. Wayne enjoyed many years of coaching and watching his children excel in sports: Hockey, Baseball, Soccer and Moto-cross Racing. Grandpa Wayne continued to support his grandkids in the sports they played right up until his last weeks. Wayne was a man of very few words but his giving heart and actions spoke volumes. The family would like to express our thanks and gratitude for all the prayers, support and acts of kindness this month from friends and family. A special thank you to Karen and Calvin Toffan of Baseball Regina for making Grandpa's baseball wish come true. We would also like to thank Dr. Ming-Fok and the staff at the Pasqua Hospital (3A) and Grace Hospice for all their loving care of both Wayne and the family over the past month. A luncheon and celebration of his life will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Victoria Club, 1300 Victoria Ave., Regina, SK from 12:00 3:00 p.m. Please join us in sharing your love and memories of this wonderful man's life.
